Winemaking
Els Solers comes from a selection of very old vineyards. Planted in poor granite soils in the area known as Els Solers, the vineyards grow on the slopes of the Serra de l’Albera, influenced by the Mediterranean climate and the north wind.
The grapes were vinified in the old style and without using sulfites in the Carreras farmhouse. The wine was aged for 5 years: the first two in storage and the other 3 in bottle.
Els Solers is a return to the origins, to the wine of our grandparents. For this reason, the label shows a photograph of our grandmother Eulàlia and her sister, in 1941 harvesting.
It is a wine of great aromatic complexity, freshness and intensity. The maturity reached after 5 years of aging has given it elegance and enhanced its balance. The result is a limited edition of 757 bottles, each of which is a small tribute to our grandparents, their work and their wine.
