The vineyards

The vineyards of our winery grow at the foot of the Albera Massif, in poor soils containing slate and granite, frequently aerated by the northerly tramuntana wind. Many these vineyards are extremely old, from 80 to more than 100 years old, with the Carignan and Grenache varieties (known as the carinyana and lledoner in Empordà) in their different variants: black, red and white.

We strive to produce a crop which is as environmentally friendly as possible: we have never used herbicides; we plough the land several times in order to aerate it and preserve the richness of the soil.  With this type of viticulture and minimising treatments, a fine ecological balance is achieved.
